WELCOME SUPERFANS!
Welcome to CapedWonder™.com, the website that Celebrates the Legacy of Christopher Reeve as Man and Superman through unique imagery. Here you will be able to enjoy a large variety of rare and high-quality Christopher Reeve and Superman movie photos, artwork, wallpaper, videos and audio files.
CapedWonder™.com also celebrates the Verisimilitude and Wonders of Superman; and the artists, writers, directors and performers that have come together over the past 70 years with the common goal of bringing Superman to life on paper, television and the silver screen. It's a very exciting time for all of us!
The world first came to know Christopher Reeve in 1978 with his star-making portrayal of Superman in Superman-The Movie, setting a new standard for heroism and humility and becoming a larger-than-life role model and hero to many people of this generation. In 1995, Chris became a hero once again to a generation, putting a very human face to paralysis and spinal cord injuries; and showing extraordinary courage and determination, not only to build a new life for himself and his family, but also fight for the rights of the paralyzed and the disabled. In the nine and a half years that followed, until his passing in 2004, Chris showed the world that a cape and superpowers were not necessary to be a hero; perseverance, hope, love and humility, combined with inner strength and the will to live, made him a hero all over again.
It is with deepest gratitude that I thank Superman creators Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster; producers Alexander and Ilya Salkind, and Pierre Spengler; director Richard Donner; actor, activist and hero Christopher Reeve; cinematographer Geoffrey Unsworth with cameraman Peter McDonald; Tom Mankiewicz, John Williams, David Tomblin, Mario Puzo, David and Leslie Newman, Lynn Stalmaster, Marlon Brando, Margot Kidder, Marc McClure, Sarah Douglas, Terence Stamp, Gene Hackman, Valerie Perrine, Ned Beatty, Phyllis Thaxter, Glen Ford, Jeff East, Susannah York, Jackie Cooper, George Harris II, Aaron Smolinski, Lee Quigley, Trevor Howard, Harry Andrews, Noel Neill, Kirk Alyn, Maria Schell, John Hollis, Stuart Freeborn, Zorin Perisic, Wally Veevers, Bob Harman, Derek Botell, Les Bowie, Stuart Baird, Michael Ellis, Denys N.
