1981 BBC Documentary

Below is the five-part documentary made for the BBC’s Arena programme. It covers the popularity of Superman and his portrayal in the movies. It contains some great interviews with the creators of Superman, Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. Superman actors Kirk Alyn and Christopher Reeve are interviewed, as well as Margot Kidder and David Prowse. It also features comic book people such as Will Eisner (creator of the Spirit) and Trina Robbins, and science fiction writer Larry Niven talking about the science of Superman.
